About the model
A pistachio built by Georg Törnkvist. The fuselage is made in traditional stick and tissue, while the flying surfaces are made of thin depron plastic. The finish of the model is very good, including the positively minuscule pilot. Unfortunately it is a bit on the heavy side for a pistachio, and it has not yet been possible to trim it out properly.

About the origial
Designed by EAA founder Paul Poberezny as an economical sports aircraft, the Pober Pixie was built in record time, the project starting in January 1974 with the first flight in July the same year. It has a traditional fabric covered structure, where the fuselage is made of steel tubes, and the wing built from wood. The prototype now resides in the EAA museum.
