About the model
A peanut built by Lennart Lilienberg, from the Nowlen Aero kit. It has not been trimmed out yet (2006). The photos were taken at the Swedish Indoor champs 2006.

About the origial
The Nieuport 11 is one of the most well known aircrafts from the first world war. Originally designed by Gustave Delage as a racer for the 1914 Gordon Bennet Cup, its speed and maneuverability made it ideal as a fighter aircraft. In addition to the French air force, it was used by many other nations, and built under licence in Russia and Italy. The particular machine modelled by Lilienberg is one that has been preserved, and now resides in the Musée de l'Air, Paris.
