About the model
A pistachio by Johan Wallin. The model is very light (1.2 grams), and has single side covered flying surfaces. The covering is printed tissue.
Best flights have been around 70 seconds, though it is a bit inconsistent, as the flying surfaces are susceptible to warping.
About the origial
One of the most wellknown and successful homebuilts, the Jodel Bébé was designed by Edouard Joly and Jean Délémontez in 1946.
Of simple construction, powered by an engine of 20-40 hp, it has been popular with homebuilders up to this date.
The prototype F-PEPF
now resides in the Musée de l'Air, Paris.
