The worlds largest model plane?

This model was built by Thomas Leijon and Jonas Romblad in one day and one night for the Winternuts 1995. It was a free flight glider built entirely of foam, with a wingspan of 8 meters. When assembled is was discovered that the wing bracing was not rigid enough. They decided to test it anyway, with a result as can be seen in the photos.
