About the model
An exceptionally detailed CO2 powered model by Georg Törnkvist. It has proved tricky to trim properly, but at the 2005 Swedish indoor championships it finally achieved a perfect flight. The model is based on the Demoiselle which is preserved in the Musée de l'Air in Paris.

About the origial
This construction, a development of the earlier No 19, made it's debut in the early months of 1909. It was built in series by Clément-Bayard and by Santos-Dumont himself. Many more were made by amateur builders attracted by the simplicity of the machine; detailed construction drawings were published in Popular Mechanics.
A scale 3-view + description is featured in: Peanuts & Pistachios No 6.
